Qualifications
5 - 7 years of work experience in a professional office setting (or equivalent)
Tax, Accounting, or Bookkeeping experience is a plus but not required
Technology savvy
Solid Excel skills
Software Troubleshooting Skills
Excellent communication skills
A positive team attitude
Understand the importance of providing quality service to the customer
Full Job Description
We are an awesome and growing accounting firm located in Opelika, AL. We are seeking a self starter that values a positive and respectful team environment. The job will include, but not be limited to:
General data entry into various software such as Google Sheets, TaxDome, Adobe Acrobat
Exporting data such as Print to PDF procedures
Organizing files both digitally and hard copies (although we try to keep paper copies to a minimum)
Taking notes during a meeting
Replying to client’s emails to answer general simple questions
Following up with clients to request files or other information we need to serve them well
Sending files to clients using our online portal
Creating presentations and other files from pre-defined templates
Backing up files on a schedule
Maintaining and scheduling events in Google Calendar
Communicating with Co-workers over Slack
Reposting content on social media
Discovering reply opportunities on social media
This is a position that requires the ability to work in an office environment, but may have some remote work opportunities. The job candidate must be comfortable learning new software to complete various assignments. The job candidate must have initiative, thoughtfulness, and have good computer skills and communications skills. The job candidate must take responsibility for their actions and the tasks given to them.
